I wanted to stop huffing and puffing and sweating just going up and down stairs! Plus I wanted to be that "big guy in the gym".
Why I Love It:
Relieve stress and is a healthy hobby. I also enjoy the fact that I am sculpting my body into something I can be proud of. Another thing is the PUMP! You know that feeling right after you leave the gym. Like you can lift anything!
How I Stay Motivated:
My wife and my mirror. Plus the compliments don't hurt!

This is a pic from 2001 when I was in basic training. I want to get back to this but more muscular!
Glad to have been able to help. I say if you can do them, do them along with everything else. You know, you probably can do a lot more palms in as opposed to out and I think I remember reading it does more for your lats that way as well. You could also add a mixed grip variation and well, before you know it, you'll be doing one-armed pull-ups. Ok, that might take a while.
OMG...you are the second military man that has been to my profile and not sent me a friends request. :-( So...I will send you one! Thank you for protecting and serving our great nation! God Bless you and your family! xoxo Tamar
man, things are alright. I've actually been consistent with my cardio all week. Yeah ... I was a real slacker with the weights yesterday but I'm assuming thats because I was so damned late.
How them pull-ups coming along?
Thanks for the comment! I looked at your profile, you have some great muscle development going on there! Good luck with dropping some body fat, I'm sure you'll do it and the results will be great! I'll watch your lifting videos when I get some time.
hey bro the article link is on my page just go to my favorite bodybuilding.com articles the name of it is:
Slow Cardio: Great Technique Or Bad Advice? by Bob Cicherillo
Glad to be of any help I can. You already have great size and strength, if you work a little on the cardio and diet while keeping your size and strength you will be amazing. Of course, if you are more concerned with size and strength, just keep doing what you have been doing because it is working great.
Your new pictures are awesome, it looks like you have been making great progress, you must be working hard. I especially like the front double bi picture, your arms, shoulders and lat spread are very impressive, and you have a good confident smile with a good face shot as well.
the formula i use to keep my size but still do cardio is in this article just read it and follow it bro it really works go to the link: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fu n/bobchic3.htm
Man, its a question that pops up on t-nation a lot and its a question I ask myself all the time. If a person can do chins/pull-ups, then why the hell are they using the lat pulldown station. :-)
Of course, you can do them both too. ;-)
Man, training is going alright for me. Its really kicking my ass with these two a days just because its not like this shit is getting any easier. YUMMY!!!!!! Just the way I like it.
I looked at your routing and it left me asking, where are the pull ups at in your back workout?
Your workout looks great, it looks like you are doing a good job. About the only things I would add is that for legs hack squats can be a good thing to work in on days you do not want to squat, plus you need to work in a few hamstring exercises like the back curls. Otherwise your workout looks impressive to me.
