When I Started:
Mar, 2007
How I Started:
I began working out after an injury. After I recovered I continued to workout because I liked the feeling it gave me. The slow progression of improving the overall condition of my body also kept me going. Over the past 2 years I have tried to become more serious with working out. I feel I have reached a turning point in my life. For many years I have focused on taking care of my family. Now it is time to take a little time out of my schedule for me. When I am working out, for that 45 to 60 min, I can block everything else out of my head. I feel this is a healthy way to deal with everyday stress. Kind of helping your body as well as your mind at the same time.
Why I Love It:
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by reading this site and seeing all the others working hard to improve themselves. It is also good to see the many people around my age getting involved and improving their health. The changes I have seen in my own body this past year have motivated me also. I hope in the future to motivate others by my own personal progress. Because if I can do it, so can anyone else.
I want to reduce bf% while increasing muscle size and definition.
Goal (Long):
My current goal is to increase strength, size, and definition while decreasing body fat. By staying focused on proper nutrition, exercise and rest. Also, I want to maintain my wife's yearning for me after over 23 years of marriage...to make her want to roll onto myside of the bed ;)

Ok buddy your resemblance to Fudd is even more striking the leaner you get. Nice work. You must be feeling really good about your progress. All the best.
Once you get into it you will find yourself wanting to mix it in with your other workouts. I have done 12 marathons over the years. While the marathon isn't for everyone, there are a lot of different length races that may suit you.
Hmmm...lots of shoulder injuries going around. I better be careful. Im actually hitting back and shoulders today. Its a gloomy day here and cold. Doesnt help that im on the beach. May gray/ June gloom as they call it.
