Wrestling is a great sport. I wrestled 152 as a freshman and then 215 my senior year. Terrible my first year turned it around to fourth in states my senior year, best of luck to you!
I see, well it probably has to do with the concentrated flexion of the outer shoulder muscles when using the bar. I wouldn't push it. Dumbell bench is better anyway as it works all the little stabilizer muscles in your arms, pecs, shoulders, etc. As those continue to build, I wouldn't be surprised if you're able to get back on the flat bench by the summer.
So does it not hurt when you do dumbells? And is it only painful the next day or is there pain when you are actually doing the lift? And how wide is your grip?
