My DD did AWESOME! She will be 8 this month so she was the youngest one there. Her time was 39:35! She jogged all but about a 1/4 of a mile and even then she powerwalked. As you will be able to tell from the pics it was pouring rain the whole race. She was such a tropper...she...
My weight lifting lasts 30-60 min's, depending on how many muscles I'm working (1 or 2), and how much volume I want to do (# of sets). I always do all the sets per exercise, then all the sets for next exercise, etc. On a rare occasion I'll do circuits to change it up, & usually w/ minimal rest to make it cardio + resistance training. Have a groovacious & happy 4th Trudee. :)
No questions are ever bad...you ask me anything. As far as calories, there is no caloric info on the label...I know the product is mainly made up of branched chain amino acids. I use 1 scoop mixed in my water bottle for my workout. Then, I drink another with 2 scoops afterwards. If I only could have one supplement...this would be the one.
You are welcome! Xtend is a endurance and recovery enhancer from Scivation. It helps me alot to get through my workouts. It also reduces the amount of soreness I experience. It is the one supplement I cannot go without! Also, it helps preserve muscle tissue when you are trying to lose fat.
There is nothing wrong with having small treats here and there. Everything in moderation. Some people on here are very extreme, but that is not good for people like us who have struggled with eating disorders.
I'll go check out your food journal. Actually I've posted plenty of unflexed photos in my progress pictures section. I'll post a few of those in my blog later.
Oh, and the strength workouts get easier to plan when you've been doing them for a while. Now I know exactly what I'm going to do before I even start working out. I get all my equipment ready, set everything up, then give it my all. I love it!
Oh, okay! That's great that you've gained weight since your 2007 photos, you did look too thin then, esp. in the top one where you're wearing a black and white shirt.
I don't see them in your profile, where abouts in your profile are they? I'm sure I'm overlooking them. You're welcome! Since I workout at home I get creative :). On back day I do: one-arm rows, bent over rows, T-bar rows, bent-over rows, seated rows with bands, wide-grip pullups (when I go to the playground with Heidi), pullovers, shrugs...other things too, but I can't think of the name of everything :P.
exrx.net is a great place to see demos.
I only do speedwork one day a week as well. I prefer the treadmill so I can control the pace better. I would do intervals of usually 800m or 1200m at the target 5k pace I want in the race with a 400m jog between. I'm starting to move away from distance and now concentrate on time for my training.
