I started as a classical trained dancer at a very young age, which then turned into a fitness obsession by age 12. At that time, I had created my bedroom into my own little gym equipped with a Soloflex machine, a stairclimber, treadmill, weights, and the entire Buns, Abs, Arms, Legs of Steel series. By my Senior year, a passion for fitness had evolved.
Upon leaving for the University of Wisconsin, I knew that I wanted to be in the health/fitness field. By the end of my 4-year college career, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Exercise Management and a Minor in Dance.
Two days after graduation, I left my home-state of Wisconsin and traveled South to where Florida became my new home. Prior to the move, I always knew I wanted to compete and made it happen within the first year of living in South Florida. My first show was the NPC Greater Ft. Lauderdale in 2000 where I was the Overall Fitness Winner.
Why I Love It:
I love the challenge of creating and sculpting a fit, lean, strong physique. I love sharing my fitness journey with others and hearing about theirs. As part of my duty as a Fitness Professional is to inspire and empower those to change their lives and live a healthy, extroadinary life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I set several goals out for myself throughout the year, such as figure competitions, photoshoots, and appearances. This allows me to keep "AN END IN MIND." I visualize how I want to look, how I can win my next show, etc...and that allows me to stay motivated on a daily basis.
What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
I make a KILLER fat-free, no sugar added, high protein Key Lime Pie.

What bicep workout has worked best for you?
I like to combine my bicep and tricep workout using supersets. I use moderate to moderate-heavy weight for both bodyparts and work towards 12-15 reps. I lift fairly heavy during my back and chest workouts earlier in the week, therefore, engaging my biceps and triceps very well.I like to combine my bicep and tricep workout using supersets.
