How I Started:
I strive to be a martial artist through and through. Before I even started martial arts I was a devoted Yogi for a year in preperation. I started TKD a few years ago in Phoenix but left when my Dojang became too Americanized. Through sparring with my ex I learned a bit of Kuk Sul. I joined Shadow Warrior's about a year ago. There I study Shotokan Karate and an United States Marine influenced form of Ninjitsu. I also study Jujitsu (Not BJJ though I would like to!) Aikido and grappling (ew).
Why I Love It:
I love endurance and stretching so much! I try to work out about 17 hours a week, I am crap at cardio but pretty strong. The highlight of my training is totally sparring. Nothing makes me happier than coming out bleeding with a hundred bruises. I study the history of martial arts extensivly and I know a bit of Japanese I was an exchange student there for a summer.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am HIGH energy my nick name is Tigger 'cause all I do is bounce around. There are very few things I love more than Martial Arts. Also as an abuse victim I beleive it's my duty to protect myself as well as my gal pals from nasty guys :P
BB Accomplishments:
Not really body building but I can do the splits and standing back bends, my flexibility is fabulous for Aikido and I have an insane pain tolerance normally which makes me enjoy full contact. Honestly I haven't been in a tourny yet or the ring of course but I would love to be able to.

I have been going to 24 hour fitness for the past few months, my friend wants me to join her YMCA and go there with her instead. It seems the price is almost identical. 24 hour is opened for 24 hours...obviously which is the main benifit. It has less classes and is really far away : / But the Y...

Workout Tracker is on Your Body Space. It's a calendar that you can record your routine. I find it a bonus to look back and see what workout if varried felt good. Or like my last workout logged was not enough because I was not sore on the targeted muscle group. However I do feel it on inside hips(groin) and lower back.

Hey Alex, I fought in Tacoma in 2006 at some community center on the Hill about 3 miles SW of the Dome. That was my first TKD/Isshinryu Karate Tournament on 8/19/06 and took 3rd in colored belts over age 18. And 3rd in over 35. I went to High School in Kent/Federal Way area. I hope you post your workout routine in the "tracker". It took about 10 min. the first time and 5min. 2nd and 3rd time for my updates. I think you are COOL in my book!

Hey,fantastic profile! So,you'r into martial arts? Want to compete? That's great,no need to "blush!" Some of my girl-friends are competitive kick-boxing and muay thai fighters and those girls are the ones of the most feminine women I've ever seen! Oh,and they'r hot!;) KIT
