Goal (Long):
I've always loved the 'Amazonian' woman - Sgt Callahan (Leslie Easterbook), Red Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen), Zula (Grace Jones)... I don't think I'll be able to be lean and long as Grace, or as tall as Brigitte, but I want to embody that tough-woman inside-and-outside thing. Sexy and determined! --
Nothing wrong with arms on a woman.
Nothing womanly about being weak in the body or mind!
Next goal is the Sydney City2Surf Half Marathon - I'm determined, I'm training and eating for this, the only way I'll not compete is if I'm risking hospitalisation on the day.
After that, there is another charity run, The Seven Bridges. After that, I'm not sure, but I know I'll have two fitness goals under my belt and I'll be looking for more!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 40 kg
Bodyfat Goal:
15%
Upcoming Contest:
Sydney City2Surf Half Marathon

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I do grunt when I have to. Its scary, but sometimes you have to push past 'pretty'.

What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
Yoga pants and tank, both black and in a sweat-wicking fabric. Sure its tight over most of me, but that gives me to opportunity to see my own shape change, and hopefully tempt someone who's about to give up to leave the cardio room and try out the weights room - its not just for the boys.Yoga pants and tank, both black and in a sweat-wicking fabric. Old person disease! Even has the word 'bowel' in it. Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Even worse, its a syndrome - that means that doctors have no idea what causes it, or what is going wrong - they just treat the symptoms.
Still - so much better than other things it could be.
I dropped by to see how you are doing. I believe that with your determination you will achieve all your fitness goals and I look forward to watching your progress. Stay strong, focused and determined. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance feel free to give me a yell. Remember: “God didn't promise you a day without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain. But He did promise you strength for the day, comfort for your tears and a light for your way.”
No problem I really enjoy helping and encouraging others. If you're interested I started my workout tracker complete with daily food intake so anyone interested can see how I prepare for my Oct 4th contest. Check it out if you get a sec.
Oh, wait a second...you live down under...so it's winter time there...duh on my part! It's summer here in the states...LOL..now I understand why you are sick - either way, hope you are feeling better :)
Oh, bummer! Hope you are feeling strong enough to kick the iron's butt! Did you have a cold or what? Being sick sucks, especially in the summer! Get better, girl!
Oh dear...make sure you get enough rest. My best friend has type 1 diabetes...I know how difficult it is to keep the sugars in line around the workouts.
Tish, I worked my butt off this weekend...I have now decided to switch my routine around a bit. I'm finding myself to be really tired during the week (work is hammering me to death). So now, I will be lifting on Sat. and Sundays, Wed and Fridays. Cardio will be done on Monday and Tuesday. Abs (as always) are done every other day. Still eating clean :)
