Although I'd been told I had a good frame to start from, I'd never been able to add mass. When I hit 42 I decided that if I ever wanted to make it happen, I'd better get going...before it's too late. LOL. Seriously, this always seemed like an unattainable goal and I decided that I needed to prove to myself that I could do it.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel, physically and emotionally, especially now that people are starting to notice and I can see that I'm actually beginning to achieve my goals.
How I Stay Motivated:
I pay attention to the bodies other guys have, look in the mirror, and remind myself that I CAN do this. Additionally, since this goal eluded me for so many years, I tell myself that I refuse to be beaten by it again.
BB Accomplishments:
Well, this is pretty small potatoes, but I've added about 25 pounds of overall weight, nearly two inches to my biceps, and 1.5 inches to my chest...much more progress than I've ever made before...and it's keeping me going

Me on my 40th birthday, before I started training. Oh...I'm the one wearing the hat.
Thanks Timmy for your encouraging remarks. I keep myself motivated by being hard on myself because no one else is going to do that for me. Don't worry I am totally committed ans nothing will get in my way. I had lost about 50 pounds 4 years ago before I got married. This time I'm not thinking about the weight as much as I am about shaping up. I'll post some new pictures soon as I have been lifting hard and have made good progress.
