Overall Goal: My goal is to get in great shape for the holiday season. I spend a lot of time in hotels over the next few months and want to enjoy the pools and saunas without needing a cover up!! Better to be eye candy then an eyesore! Interval training and weight
My younger sister died after a car accident when I was still playing full time in Rock bands. Not a real healthy lifestyle. I decided it was time to get healthy and strong again. After watching my sister on a respirator for three days, before they pulled the plug, I decided to go into healthcare to ease suffering. I myself was in a car accident on October 24, 2006. I was rear ended while stopped in a construction zone by a car that was hammered by a F350 pickup going 65 mph. They had to cut the guy that hit me out of his car. 75 doctor visits later and I am trying HARD to make a comeback. I love Hard Rock...hence the name RockHard...although some people think this means something else. :)
Why I Love It:
I love the pump and feel after I workout....the endorphin rush and the energy. I love symmetry over size...people who just work the chest and abs...don't look right...you need to work the whole package.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look at fit women and appreciate how hard they work to look good. It's the least I can do to give them something good to look at too. Live healthy and strong for my children. They are still young and I want to be there for them and do things with them. I work developing clinical tests at Mayo Clinic (e.g. transplants, Lupus, kidney disease, etc...). Many people aren't as lucky as me...they motivate me to stay healthy and do what I can to help them.
BB Accomplishments:
Still able to lift more than most guys much younger and able to run several miles at a rapid interval pace. Need to ramp it up again..love words of encouragement.

Goal (Long):
After my sister died, I went on a complete makeover plan. I ate healthier, starting lifting weights, and ran almost everyday. I was lean and mean in a very short time. I will get to the level again. With our new fitness center at my workplace, I have state of the art equipment to train on. It's a real good time to set some goals for myself. I am an avid golfer, trained in Tae Kwon Do, and coach youth sports, including football and baseball, and girl's high school ice hockey!
Description: This is our new workout facility at Mayo Clinic. Opened September 4th. It is state-of-the-art. Simply amazing! If you are ever here, ask for me and I will show you around. Timbo
Good job! I'm all about the interval training too! In the past few months gotten into more tabata type training (go hard for 20 seconds, then 10 sec break---or no break with a superset!) Works great!
I thank you and I am humbled to receive your wonderful reply. I don't know about the inspiration part but I am incredibly honored to receive those words from someone such as yourself. Stay strong.
I just stopped by to wish you nothing but success as you work towards your fitness goal. Too many people think it can’t be done and so they don't even try but you have proven that with hard work and dedication it can be done. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching your continuing progress. You are a great example to so many others.
