Falling apart health wise in 2002. Too much stress. Too many hours at work. Crappy nutrition. You name it. Jumped at the chance do a BFL Challenge, with a free personal training provided for 12 weeks. Exercise became a big part of my life from that moment on.
Why I Love It:
It helps me realize that I can be more. I can be better. I have much more potential. It gives me tangible evidence of all those.
How I Stay Motivated:
Always seeking to find MORE of my capacities and abilities. The more I find, the more I realize there is to find. The motivation provides itself.

I've always believed the older you get the better life should be. I'm at that point in my life that I'm about to find out how much I believe that. I know that to do that I have to keep my mind in the game and my eyes on the prize. Which, to me, is being happy and feeling fulfilled everyday I am alive. My goal is to keep my body (and mind) active, strong, agile, flexible and healthy. I know I could lose some weight, but I'm not as concerned about my weight goal right bnow as I am my body fat goal. I'm starting easy... just a half a pound by the end of this month, Feb. 2008

Why I like this video: I started working out in 2001 in a gym here in town but switched to kettlebells on the advice of a personal trainer friend of mine. This video give a quick sneak peak at some of the reasons why I prefer kettlebells almost exclusively now.

The good about being a trainer is changing peoples lives.
The bad is the number of gym owners that don't respect the education and work of the trainers. Pay structure and benefits are two areas that need to be improved.
Oh yeah, had a great Wednesday. Couldn't sleep through the night. Got up at 2:30AM (this is Wed morning) and stayed up. Went to bed at 9PM Wed night. Woke up this morning at... yep, 2:30AM. Oddly, I really don't feel like you'd think I should. Must be that energy drink with the red kyrptonite I make up in my blender. Ha!
