Overall Goal: To put back the 30 or so pounds I've lost over the last few years due to laziness and lack of motivation. But to achieve that I first need to rehab my shoulder and I need to finally take the time and make the effort to do it.

I started college in high school and I needed to fill some PE credits to graduate so I figured a weight lifting class would be an easy way to fill those requirements without actually putting any effort out...and I got addicted.
Why I Love It:
The sense of accomplishment, the DOMS that scream "Yes you actually are making progress!", the rush of endorphins brought on by a good run...
How I Stay Motivated:
I shook a man's hand the other day, it was like gripping a wet noodle...suddenly all I could think of was a set of heavy squats.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
...Or don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Cesare Beccaria, 1767 (Later quoted by Thomas Jefferson)

Tikibeastis inspired by 5Six. Reason: "I don't come across many guys my size/height around here, it's inspiring to see somebody with the time and resources reach the goals I'm asp... "

Goal (Long):
Back in college I was a typical gym rat, I put in more hours at the gym than I did in the classroom and I had the body to show for it. Years later I've lost the drive and the motivation and as such I've lost 30lbs of muscle and I've lost a lot of definition. My main goal is to take a step back about 7yrs and refind that guy that got excited to lift and the real desire to live!
Since you've been working out, taking supplements and eating right, how often do you get sick (cold, flu, etc.)?
Rarely

Do you have any type of chronic disease or condition?
Yes
What is it?
Chronic Asthma
How does fitness help you with your condition? What do you have to do differently in your program since you have this condition?
When I was in better physical condition I had stronger lungs and fewer problems with them (though recent problems could be attributed to smoking but who's to judge?).
Thanks for you feedback. Well, I just discovered that I should be using a lower rep range if I want to get those muscles pumping. So instead of doing 10 reps for everything, I'll do 6 - 10 instead, but I'll opt for the 6-8 rep range for my first couple sets. Does that sound decent?
Wow lots of hobbies! Sounds like you keep yourself really busy! Careful with that shoulder... I've hurt mine before too and it takes forever to heal! Every now and then I feel it hurt during bench press still. Ouch. I've been getting settled into my new place. Been givinger at the gym too. I have new progress pictures I'll have up sooon!
I'm still alive and working hard! Just slacking with the updates. Been doing some power routines and circuits and loving it. I'm in the process of moving back to my hometown up North right now so I hope that won't get in the way. How have you been? I've noticed you don't have any new updates??!! hmmm
Sorry about the delay in reply. Anyways, I hope to gain a bodybuilder physique; muscles, and lots of them. I also want to lose weight in the process. So I consume 1800 calories a day with 1 hr of weights and 30 minutes of cardio 6 x a week. I double up on muscle groups every week.
Aloha Chris! Hey, sorry to hear about that crummy job. Hope you've got a better one now. So you're moving?!!! :O Wow, that's a big deal. Guess you're ready for a change, huh? Hey, and you better not talk stink about my goat, she'll get you! Thanks for staying in touch my friend. xoxo Demetria
Wow, Chris! It's so good to hear from you hun. I'm doing great, the farm is as busy as ever, and I even got a little goat. No real changes here for the summer, but I DO have a CAT 4 hurricane headed my way, but that's about it. Hope your summer is coming along nicely, and that the new job is treating you well. Big xoxoxo's from your friend in Hawaii! :)
Yo dude, still getting my dumb head around this forum stuff.
Thanks for repping me, I didn't realise you did that HAHA!
Hope you're well and have a great weekend!
Peace.
Hey, dude. I'm honestly flattered for the props. Thank you for that. I'm not more inspired when I got the email someone added me to their inspirational list. So thanks again.
Check out my workout journal, too, if you want.
punching bag? Is that out of rage? Just kidding that can be a really good workout. Sorry to hear about the job situation... lots of people going through that. I'm sure you will pull through fine. Keep hitting the punching bag for now and keep your head up!
