From the time I was a child I wanted to look like (He-Man) from the masters of the universe. loved to played sports and from experience I knew the ones that lived in the gym male or female were always the stars that shined the brightest. I loved to know that I was the one who was in the gym hours after everyone had gone home so I felt like I was so much tougher and always one step ahead. I was in the gym Fridaynight, Saturday night, Sunday night I never wanted to party with friends I just wanted to be bigger and more ripped. I loved running bleachers in the middle of the summer 100 degrees people said I was crazy but I knew I was physically superior to all of them and they knew it too. I saw Ronnie Coleman in a book one day and I felt like I had what it takes to get there !!!!!!!!
Why I Love It:
There is nothing like working out and feeling your muscles pump up like you have a beach ball under your skin and makes you feel like you can run through a wall!!!!!!
How I Stay Motivated:
you dont have to be motivated to do something you love, I will fight for my right to workout!!!!!!!!!!
BB Accomplishments:
I placed 7th at the Texas State in my weight class my first contest due to my terrible posing lol, oh but I know ill place way better next time, the judges did let me know that my condition was way better than my performance!!

I didnt get this way by taking days off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a buddy of mine told me " you know you use to be built when you first started working here and now you are fat like us, I told you it was gonna happen" and it did just that.....but keep in mind that I started my diet in May of 2009 at 233lbs
I didnt make the top 5 but I learned so many things and tricks about my body, it was amazing that I looked the way I did with know this, and I am very excited about what im gonna look like next time, I was 165.8lbs
To gain back all the strength I lost on my diet and more, put on more size and do better next contest
Goal (Long):
I know I have the potential to eventually make it to a big time competition I set my goals high and I usually make them (God has been good to me)Arnold Classic,Ironman,Olympia,AUSTRALIA PRO,EUROPA
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
Back in 2001 I got into a car wreck and was tossed through the windshield of my car along with my wife at 97mph got up and walked 1/2 mile down the side of the highway to get help with a broken leg, bruised sternem, and dislocated wrist just in time enough to get help to my wife before it was too late. The doctors told me if I wasnt so muscle up I would have never survived. If I wouldnt have survived, my wife wouldnt have been life flighted to the hospital and she would have died, thank God for the gym!!!Back in 2001 I got into a car wreck and was tossed through the windshield of my car along with my wife at 97mph got up and walked 1/2 mile down the side of the highway to get help with a broken leg, b...more

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
My first blog has to go to one of my strengths, my wife. With out her I would not be where I am now, I am blessed. When I first discovered how to diet my wife tried it before I did. I was writing an english paper for my final in March 2009 on obestiy in America. I started doing research on...
Hi Gavin! I am trying to catch up on replies, and I wanted to thank you so much for all the very nice picture comments and ratings - that was very thoughtful of you :) I hope you have a good week!
yeah pretty much. I think a lot of people just think because they have a trainer the weight will just magically disappear without them having to anything on their own time.
My goodness Gavin. I'm happy you had the physical fitness needed and strength of mind to save your wife's life in spite of how much your body was broken. That's true strength right there. Sure proves to me you have what it takes to make it on that bb stage; strength both inside and out!
