Reconditioning yourself to eat right is a journey. It takes time, but it's more than worth it.

NO GRAINS! Their garbage, full of inflamatory properties and anabolic inhibitors. They are over-used in the United states; stay away from them

Eat as close to a vegetarian diet as you can. And by vegetarian, I DO NOT mean Vegan. Vegans are pussies with issues. Vegetarians have the best diet consisting mainly of veggies and fruit while still benifiting from animal products such as eggs and dairy.   If you want the occasional chicken breast or steak, then so be it.  Just try to use it to the best of your ability, and as consistently as possible.
