Ever since I was a kid I have always been involved in sports. Hockey, football, soccer, swimming, track...just about everything. My body however, did not seem to match my athletic ability; I was in pretty good shape but was always a bit chubby. Around the time I turned 17 I started to take my diet more seriously. This lasted for a while but eventually I was back to my old habits. In the Spring of 2007 I decided that I was going to get back on track. I ate a very clean diet and did cardio as much as I could. It wasn't until July though that I bought my first weight bench and started lifting. The rest as they say, is history.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding because it requires the utmost dedication and effort. You have to be conscious of everything that relates to your body, all the time. I love it because it is the ultimate individual sport. You will only go as far in bodybuilding as you push yourself to go. It's all you, no one else can lift the weights for you.
How I Stay Motivated:
By looking in the mirror daily and watching my body transform. I know that if I stop working out I will lose the body I have worked so hard to achieve.
Hey Grant, what have you been up to? You see what I've done, I've put back on about 15 lbs. Where are your latest pics and how's your training been coming?
You definitely picked a good time to start. Its great to hear your in it for the long haul. I'll tell ya...always keep a positive mind because that is where it all starts and allows to achieve what you want. Keep at it bud!
Hey Grant, I'm doing pretty well. I've slacked off some the past few weeks and put on 10 lbs so I'm ready to get serious again and take off 20lbs and really start hitting the weights hard again. Summer will be here in about 3 months and I've got to get in a lot better shape. How things with you? Still working out hard? Let me know how things are going.....keep in touch.
