When I Started:
Jul, 1991
How I Started:
I first started working out the summer before my freshman year of high school to get ready for football try-outs. Before that was just regular practice exercise for wrestling, basketball, and football. I never really got into bodybuilding (where size mattered) until I joined the Army in 1996. I've always been chubby, so it's been a personal image struggle my whole life in which I've had my highs and lows. My personal best physique was achieved when I was 26, but frequent deployments make it hard to maintain a constant training cycle. I lift like crazy when I'm deployed, and get fat when I'm at home, lol.
Why I Love It:
I love it because it makes me feel good about myself in a way that no praise from anyone can. Even when someone tells me I look great, I hate the way I look. I feel a high when the veins start poppin' out... when you have to grunt out that last rep with sweat pourin' down your face! It makes me feel great, and I love to feel strong.
How I Stay Motivated:
Easy... I HATE the way I look! lol But, some good angry white-boy music and a good pump is what keeps me movin' in the gym
BB Accomplishments:
I guess you could say that I've always been more of a power-lifter than a body builder because I've always done it to feel strong and I've never competed, but my personal bests were Bench:365/Squat:455/Deadlift:455, Neck:18in/Chest:51in/Waist:37in/Arms:19.5in

Goal (Long):
I tend to carry a lot of fat, and food is my weakness. I'm pretty strong, but have some joint problems that prevent me from lifting heavy anymore. All I really want to do is find a good diet that's easy to maintain, and loose afew inches around the waist. Additionally, I would like to be more symetrical and add some size to my shoulders and outer biceps. I feel like I have a good build, but would like to reduce my BMI to show more definition.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
15%

So, the 1st of Novenmer is here and I'm a month away from heading home. This is it! It's time to kick it into HIGH gear and reach those fitness goals that I had for this deployment! I want to leave here at no more than 215lbs and score a 270 or better on my fitness test for my...
I have heard some good things about crossfit, you may be putting on some more lean mass. Have you checked your body fat, you may just be gaining in muscle what you are losing in fat. Things are good here. Hopefully I will be at 157 by the end of the month to meet my goal.
