I love the "High" after a workout, it's a great way to turn negative energy into something positive.
How I Stay Motivated:
When I was young I had a hard home life growing up around drugs and abuse. Had some really terrible experiences early in life and got dealt a bad hand but refused to settle. Wrestling and working out have always been my outlet for turning negative experiences into a positive one whether in the gym or in everyday life. The mental and physical barriers you can overcome I believe, make you a stronger healthier person and can help you set dreams and standards a lot higher than before. I just want to give back to something that has been so good to me by helping me get through tough times.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done."
- Rocky Balboa (2006)
"Nobody asked for life to deal us with these bull**** hands we're dealt, we gotta take these cards ourselves and flip'em, don't expect no help.
Now I could've either just sat on my ass and pissed and moaned, Or take this situation in which I'm placed and get up and get my own. I was never the type of kid to wait by the door and pack his bags, I sat on the porch and hoped and prayed for a dad to show up who never did, I just wanted to fit in every single place, every school I went, I dreamed of being that cool kid even if it meant acting stupid. Be yourself man, be proud of who you are even if it sounds corny, don't ever let anyone tell you you ain't beautiful."
- Marshall Mathers

Goal (Long):
Fitness is not just something you can just take on and off like a pair of shoes. It's a life style we choose. It takes blood, sweat, tears, and tremendous amount of sacrifice. My goal is simple, I want look and feel great no matter what age I am. I want my retirement to consist of weightlifting, marathons, and iron man contests. I want to push my limits and do things many haven't, When you can push through those barriers of physical and mental pain, there is no mountain that can't be moved cause the sky is the limit.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
Heart disease and high blood pressure run in my family and by having a rigorous exercise routine and a balanced diet I will decrease the risk for myself. Fitness also gives me an outlet for negative energy turning the negative into something positive by hitting the weights and staying active. Are you a parent?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
Fitness has helped me become a better parent because it makes me want to be the best I can possible be for my son. My son is my motivation and my reason for breathing and when I lift and exercise...as corny as it sounds...I think of him and how much i want to give him.Fitness has helped me become a better parent because it makes me want to be the best I can possible be for my son. How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
As for the military, it allows me to be a better, stronger, and healthier soldier by being fit to fight.
Why I like this video: Rocky in the movies is considered an "American Hero," because of his heart he is able to go the distance and over come the odds. " When you go that one more round, when you don't think you can, that's what makes all the difference in your life."
