I was always the overweight kid. At one point I was up to almost 295 Lbs. I decided to make a change, and that change has turned into an obsession.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing the changes in my body, the way training makes me feel, and the dedication involved with this sport/lifestyle.
How I Stay Motivated:
I came to the realization that not everyone can do this. My drive is that I can live this life when others fail.

Keeps me in check. Share your goals, people will ask about them, and it will make you have to either keep striving for them or admit you've quit.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Realize it all takes time. Nothing comes over night or even over a few months. Be in for the long term commitment and keep track of everything. Check weight every 2 weeks and measurements once a month...more

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Writing the workout in my book and talking to my workout partner about the task at hand. We tend to fire each other up pretty well.

Well, I'm new to this blog stuff. Basically, I'm just over 2 weeks out from my first contest. Everything is really starting to get to me at this point. The training, the food, and oh the exhaustion. I'm assuming it's the same for most of us. It's a battle everyday to make yourself keep pushing...
