Your recruiter is probably right. However, that does not mean you won't be given the opportunity. Myself, for example, work at the brig which is a non-deployable unit. However, there have been a few of us who have been deployed. If you do join, the best suggestion is volunteer for EVERYTHING, it'll prove your reliable, and increase you chances of them sending you overseas as part of an individual augmentation or a something akin to that.

It's all good! After all we marines can't be hard core all the time or else we'd end up dieing for over exercising or something lol. Thanks for thecomment though!

hey there hot sutff, wish you the best of luck with your goals! Just remember, mix up the routine some so your body doesn't get used to the exercise, and toss in a little cardio too. It'll help the blood flow for the weights! Good luck! And I look forward to seeing some progress pics!

Actually. I'm a Marine. We only played football for unit PT cause the week before that, we did an outer perimeter run with 4 30 lb ammo cans (outter perimeter meaning along the border of the entire base). They figured enough of us puked to earn us an easy day XD
