When I Started:
Oct, 2007
How I Started:
My grandfather has always been a role model of mine. In his youth he was a weightlifter and a boxer. I have always been impressed with my grandfather's lifting stats (max bench of 345 lb among other impressive stats). My top body building goal is to one day surpass my grandfather in strength.
Why I Love It:
It is a hobby that you can never be finished with. There is always room for improvement. I like the way bodybuilding makes me look and feel.
How I Stay Motivated:
1. Being able to lift more than before. 2. Being able to do more reps than before. 3. Looking in the mirror and seeing where I can improve. 4. Seeing changes on the scale.
BB Accomplishments:
1. Benching two plates (225 lb). 2. Getting down to around 10% body fat.

Note that I am relaxed and not tanned. The lighting is not particularly flattering in this pic (or the other). I have lost a lot of weight since then. Notice how the traps are too dominant. I want to bring out the upper pecs, side and rear delts to balance things out.

Main Goal:
Gain Muscle
Goal (Overall):
Get my body fat down to around 8% (I want to see that 6-pack). Build my upper pecs and rear delts.
Goal (Long):
To have a body that is perfectly symmetrical. My main problem areas are upper chest and rear delts. Also, I think that the front of my upper body needs to catch up to my back. The two goals that are at the top of my list are: (1)to develop a chest that is uniformly thick from top to bottom, (2) to develop shoulders that are round (rear delts matching the front ones).
