Overall Goal: Be an absolute animal. Yup, that's it. I already howl at the moon and I'm a slave to my animal side, why not take it one step further.
Fit Status:
34 degrees and rain. My favorite.

When I Started:
Dec, 2008
How I Started:
Worked out religiously prior to starting a family, getting fat and old. Not being able to stand being fat and old got me in the gym this time.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel and how it seems to sharpen the senses. It also does not suck to not have the body of a typical 44 year old man. I feel better than I did at 30 and there is no stopping me.
How I Stay Motivated:
I never want to go back. Period. If wanting to never back slide and be fat and out of shape again isn't enough motivation for you, I feel sorry for you. I'm never going back. I want more.
BB Accomplishments:
Went from being a fat a$$ to not being a fat a$$. Step #1 complete.

Goal (Long):
In January when I started all I wanted was to not be fat anymore. Not have to buy new pants to fit my ever expanding waist. Now I want more.
I came damned close to hitting my October 1st goal of 190lbs and less than 10%BF. I Learned a lot about how my body works at 44 and what it will take to get me where I want to be.
I was in the best shape of my life in 1993. 206 lbs and 7-8%BF. I want to look better than I did then. Thats the goal, put my younger self to shame. I'll have a few crows feet, a few more aches and pains, but I'll be a whole lot smarter and I'll appreciate what it took to get there and how quick it can go away.
I'm not going to put a date on this one yet. Just know that it will happen and I will enjoy every step along the way.
She's as tough as nails, but in a good way. Nobody works harder to reach their goals and nobody is as quick to offer help and encouragement to others. She's whats right about BodySpace. You kick ass Shannon!
He's done a great job physically transforming himself, no question there. Chris' inner strength and understanding of his life's ups and downs makes him an All Star in my book. Here's to many, many years of happy training for you and the Mrs.
Nothing works for me like dumbbell curls. I don't feel like I'm working the muscle the same way when doing either standard barbell curls or preacher and the cable machines absolutely kill my elbows. I work Bi's after back, so they are already good and warmed up prior to starting isolation movements.Nothing works for me like dumbbell curls. What tricep workout has worked best for you?
Working triceps the same day as chest helps me out. I finish my chest workout with three narrow grip bench sets after four sets each of flat and incline bench, so by the time I start tricep isolation movements, the muscles are pretty fatigued. Tricep cable pushdowns, extentions, dips are usually all I can stand.Working triceps the same day as chest helps me out. What calf workout has worked best for you?
Nothing, yet. I can cut them up, but I can't make them grow. It pisses me off!
Yeah, BUT it can be fun being the only sober one and watching everybody's drunken antics. I'm still enjoying the quiet. Believe me on that, haha. I miss them, but just not the noise and I know it's coming back with them.
Glad to hear it gets easier. Whoever thought you would have to eat so much food to lose weight. I am struggling to get it all in. Thanks for the support.
Hopefully the hospital will be done in time for you to move back and not have to travel for a long time. Alone time is doing me some good. I'm decompressing nicely, thank you very much :)
Stay home next year and enjoy each other's company and not having to deal with the rigamarow of the holidays. We go down to visit every other year or two.
