I was training a girl (personal training)and we decided to train her for a figure show to build some confidence. She did such a great job that she was invited to help organize a fitness camp run by one of the top fitness athletes in the world.
Why I Love It:
People always want to know why I decided to become a figure coach. I tell them that I have seen first hand how powerful and positive this sport can be in a person’s life. I’ve seen women gain confidence and take control of their lives. The first competitor I trained for a figure show used her preparation as a way to get through a nasty divorce and gain confidence that she had never experienced before. She told me that training for a figure contest was the only thing she had ever done for herself, her entire life had been focused around doing what others wanted. Every competitor has a story, whether she is a single mom, having relationship problems, recovering from and illness etc., the road is seldom easy. This is why I pour my heart and soul into my work
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing women lose body fat and totally transform their bodies keeps me motivated. Working on my new website hardbodyfigure.com also keeps me motivated because of the positive feedback I get everyday from women looking for solid fat loss and exercise advice.
BB Accomplishments:
Personally I went from 176 lbs to 245 lbs through hard work and following all the principles I learned over the years. Some worked and some didn't but in the end I had a lot more muscle than I started out with.
I am still most proud of the women I've trained whose bodies have gone from soft to contest ready... in as little as 12 weeks
