"I am looking to reduce my fat % to 15% from 25.06%, displaying my abdominal muscles as well as drop 15 - 20lbs more. I would like to eventually, at least by summer, compete in an amateur body building contest."
Made the decision one day..that losing weight was not enough. I want to be in the best physical shape of my life.
I was morbidly obese back in April, 2006. I made the decision to have lapband surgery (WLS) and took off with my exercise journey a week post operatively. Since then, I've held steady on my exercise and have really grown to love it more than I ever have. I figure..."Hey, why stop at just losing weight? Why not go for the gold?"
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel whole and complete. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I'm in some sort of pain or soreness from a good lift or workout session.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by seeing results. I motivate and am countermotivated by my peers. It feels good.
BB Accomplishments:
I'm just starting out but I can see my shoulders and arms looking better. I see a 4 pack developing.

I don't know what it is about running that makes me feel free. It is not competitive. It's free from that.
I feel things that I'd like to try and put into words.
My heart races within me, fighting to beat through my chest. Beads drip down my neck. My eyes blinded by my own sweat. I feel free...
Just wanted to wish you luck on your future endeavors and goals! Keep a positive attitude and you can achieve anything you put your mind to! If you need any advice, let me know. xoxo Tamar :)

I wish you much success in your quest to get fit. Combine weight lifting, some form of cardio and a good nutrition plan and you will be amazed at the changes and the speed at which they can occur. I used the Body for Life program and had great results you might want to give it a look-see. Stay strong and believe in yourself and what you can accomplish. Give me a yell if you wish.
Hey girl... I hope you are doing well... I was looking up the nitro explosion and found you... Great progress!! You should be proud... Do you like the Nitro Exp? I am contemplating... Good luck in your first competition, mine is April 2008!!! WOO HOO!!!!
Here it is summer and I am dropping by to see how you are doing and how you are coming along with your goal of competing.
Are you still focused?
Do you still want or have you already competed?
How are your workouts going?
Keep pushing yourself.
Hi,
First I would like to say congrats on your achievements. I am just getting started. My goals are very similar to yours with the exception of competing. I am 5'5, 138 lbs, 20 something percent body fat. I want to totally transform my body and loose some fat and gain some more muscle mass. Could u share with me some pratical dieting tips and vitamen/supplement recommendations (please include any side effects). thanks
