When I Started: 2006
How I Started: Made the decision one day..that losing weight was not enough. I want to be in the best physical shape of my life.

I was morbidly obese back in April, 2006. I made the decision to have lapband surgery (WLS) and took off with my exercise journey a week post operatively. Since then, I've held steady on my exercise and have really grown to love it more than I ever have. I figure..."Hey, why stop at just losing weight? Why not go for the gold?"
Why I Love It: Makes me feel whole and complete. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I'm in some sort of pain or soreness from a good lift or workout session.
How I Stay Motivated: I stay motivated by seeing results. I motivate and am countermotivated by my peers. It feels good.
BB Accomplishments: I'm just starting out but I can see my shoulders and arms looking better. I see a 4 pack developing.

I wish you much success in your quest to get fit. Combine weight lifting, some form of cardio and a good nutrition plan and you will be amazed at the changes and the speed at which they can occur. I used the Body for Life program and had great results you might want to give it a look-see. Stay strong and believe in yourself and what you can accomplish. Give me a yell if you wish.

Hi, First I would like to say congrats on your achievements. I am just getting started. My goals are very similar to yours with the exception of competing. I am 5'5, 138 lbs, 20 something percent body fat. I want to totally transform my body and loose some fat and gain some more muscle mass. Could u share with me some pratical dieting tips and vitamen/supplement recommendations (please include any side effects). thanks
