How I Started:
Been working out for a long time, but got started in powerlifting when my brother (who has been PL since 2004) took me to the gym with him in Jan 07. I loved it and started training a month later.
Why I Love It:
Powerlifting makes me feel amazing! It sets a great example for my children and I love lifting heavy!
How I Stay Motivated:
A passion for powerlifting... without a passion for it, it's a lot of work, with passion it's still a lot of work but it's FUN...
BB Accomplishments:
First PL meet June 2007
First CPU Nationals April 2009 - now ranked 58th for women
Over the course of the next couple years, my goal is to permanently move into the 67.5kg weight class. I train 6 days a week following my training program. I want to be able to fill out the 67.5kg weight class within 5 years and be competitive at a national level by spring 2011.
Congratulations on your accomplishments so far. I have just started at a Powerlifting club. It's great. Where are you in Alberta? My sis just moves out there and says the same thing that its so boring lol
Hi Telle, glad to see ya on BodySpace! There is a lot of great advice you can get here from other powerlifters and all! Its a really cool site. You should check out the forums too.
