When I Started:
Aug, 1998
How I Started:
I got started at my local Boys and Girls Club gym (Located in North Lauderdale Florida), with a female bodybuilder by the name of Ann Mary-Cook. This was the first time I started lifting weights for any kind of competition. This occurred in 1995.
I started lifting weights for the sake of bodybuilding my freshman year in college (that was in 1998). Mr. Bob Carroll the director of Florida A & M University (FAMU) fitness center and Mr. Gei Nam Lim then took an interest in me and began coaching me for my first bodybuilding show (The Mr. FAMU Bodybuilding Show).Which I won bye the way. I went on winning the next three Mr. FAMU Bodybuilding Shows. I not only won those shows I also trained all the competitors enrolled in those shows.
Why I Love It:
I love manipulating my body. I like to see how I can make myself look and feel, however I want. I also like the attention I get from having bulging muscles. All these things coupled with the fact that it is super healthy for me. How can you not love bodybuilding.
How I Stay Motivated:
For the most part I am self motivated. I enjoy pushing myself to the limit in every way possible. However, my son and daughter provide that extra motivation during those carb depletion days when you look at yourself in the mirror after losing 30 or 40lbs and ask an I sure this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

My waist was a size 26 in this shoot. Again I took the overall show and was only 145lbs. This picture was taken at the Mr. Florida A & M University (Mr. FAMU) Bodybuilding Show
My triceps looked like horse shoes according to my mother
What can I say love doing different varations of this same pose. This shoot was taken while I was on stage at The 2008 Nationals in Atlanta, GA. I placed 4th in the welter weight class.I weighed 157lbs. This was my best placing ever.
To compete in the 2009 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada in the welter weight divison.
Goal (Long):
I just finished competing in this years' Nationals Bodybuilding Show, held in Atlanta Georgia. Lee Banks and I are now training for the 2009 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. I plan on maintaining my weight at 190lbs, instead of my usual 205lbs. Paul Yi, my nutrition list thought it best that I remain lean throughout the year as this would make it easier to drop down to 164 1/4lbs. The weight needed to enter the welter weight class.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 30 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
3%
Upcoming Contest:

I like to stick to the basics. I enjoy 3 sets of 10 reps for 3 to 4 exercises with an added drop set or two.
For example: on a quad day I would start with a crazy burn out set of leg extensions. I would then follow that set up with 3 sets of ten reps at moderate to heavy weight. I find that...
Your pictures are amazing. Your combination of size and definition is superb, and your legs are especially impressive. Plus you have a striking look, and a couple of the pics look like toothpaste commercials. Congratulations on your success so far, keep it up.
