When I Started:
Mar, 2006
How I Started:
I started doing cardio in March 2006 to shed some fat, since I was approaching a near overweight state. I got bored with it after about a year and a half because I didn't understand the principles behind strength and fitness. In July 2007, I started P90X, a hardcore fitness program by Beachbody, and it totally changed my perspective on fitness. Now I am an avid weight trainer and like to learn about fitness and nutrition as much as possible.
Why I Love It:
I like the idea that you can totally transform yourself by working hard and going after your goals. If you want to gain mass, strength, or lose fat, you can accomplish it as long as you make the right decisions to move you towards your goals.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by imagining the goal I am after. It helps me to focus and make the best decisions for my health.
I also am on an infomercial for P90X. Everytime someone I know sees it, they give me such positive feedback and encouragement that it drives me to work even harder than before.

The military is pretty cool. It's pretty much what you make of it. After your 9 weeks training, you can be stationed near where you live, if theres a unit close to you. I mean theres a lot of people with families and jobs that do it.
