The college I went to is mostly a commuter college. I lived on campus, so my social life was limited - plus I couldn't really go out and party in the ATL until I turned 21. It is an Engineering school, so there was a lot of geeks around, lol. I didn't stay in the dorms very much. I'd stay active instead of being glued to the computer. I never lifted much in high school. Once I started, I was hooked.
Why I Love It:
Training is a non-stop learning process. What interest me the most is the ongoing process of learning how my body reacts to foods and routines. Just like you, I like the occassional compliment on my visible progress as well.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have a log of every workout I've done for the past 2 years. My motivation comes from beating that log book every workout, therefore proving that I am getting stronger, therefore proving that I am getting bigger. Watching my body change and reaching goals is great motivation. Other motivation includes music, preparing for an event (such as vacations to the beach) and anger.
BB Accomplishments:
I got down to 10% bodyfat once;-) I am consistently getting stronger - according to my log. That is quite an accomplishment considering I've always been 'weak' for my size (compared to others my size). Being able to strengthen my legs and back is an accomplishment with the horrible genetics that runs in my family's lower back region. Mostly, I continue to set personal best strength.

This is when I'd eat anything I wanted to and was on a college budget - pizzas & quaterpound cheeseburgers, lol.
I have always wanted to be 200# at <10% BF. Last spring, I was 184# at 10.7% BF(tested hydrostatically). I'm pushing to reach that goal. I got a bit distracted the past 6 months with a poor diet. It's easy to get side tracked sometimes, but it's important to stay focused on your short term goals to have the opportunity to accomplish your long term goals.
It doesn't happen very often, but today it did. I'm back to week 1 of my 12 week routine and excited about seeing my progress on the weights. I have had such good luck with Lee Hayward's 12 week routine that I'm going to do it again. All my sets have been progressing and I am...

Interesting. Never heard of the term. Anywhere you can recommend I can read up on it. I need to cut this month so that I can see some definition before Spring but would still like to maintain the little muscle I've built up as a beginner over the last 6 months.
Thanks:)
