When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
Growing up, I was always active. Played baseball for a lot of years and ran cross country. I had a physically demanding job, so that always helped stay trim and muscular.
In January 2002, I had a work accident and lost a lot of that muscle, due to inactivity for 7 months.
In 2003, I had a child later on that year. I gained a lot of weight. I went from 120lbs to 194lbs. I stayed that way for a long time.
In 2007 I lost some of the weight I had put on, but was still pretty gross. I finally got sick of looking that way and feeling like garbage. So, I joined a local gym.
Mostly thanks to my family support and self determination, I know my way around the gym, and am confident in it. I dropped all the weight that I had gained, and then some. Trading the fat off for some hot muscle and a ton of confidence that I never knew I had. Now it is a way of life and not just a goal any more. I live for this now and could not imagine my life with out it.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel. I love the rush I get from lifting the weights and seeing how far I can push myself each time I work out. Wondering if I can do more than the last time. I love the improvements it has made to not only my body but my whole attitude in general. I feel like a whole new person now.
How I Stay Motivated:
How can you not? Seeing the changes that have occurred in the last year, I can't help but stay motivated all the time. Although I think that 'fat' pics I have on the fridge help when I go to reach for the ice cream and cookies, lol.
BB Accomplishments:
Aside from losing almost 80lbs, none yet. We'll see come 2010 if I have anything to post in this space :) Fingers crossed!!!

This was taken the day after my birthday in 2004. I was close to 200lbs. It took a few years to make the choice to change the way I look and feel, but I am glad that I did.
I took about a month off due to life. I didn't lose too much, but still needs work. Measurements this weekend. New Goals, New Life!
To have a lean, sleek, toned body! Compete in 2010. Proud member of the DO WORK CREW!!
Goal (Long):
I want to tone and define my body. I am currently at my ideal size, just need to define it. I am hoping to compete in the figure competition in 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta. It will be my first competition, so it's going to be a huge learning experience that I look forward to.
Today was leg and ab day. I'm on the leg press with 360lbs plus whatever the bar itself weighs. Onto my second set and about half way through, some lady feels it necessary to interrupt me halfway through to tell me about push ups!? Why do people do that? Way to ruin a good set. Still...
Everything has been going pretty good. I have a trainer now, new diet, new work out program, just counting the weeks and watching the mirror until April. How's things with you?
Hello Tammylee my leg is fine now never will be as strong considering bullit hole smack dap in the into kneecap but iam alive lol hows your training been going
Well that's good that it helps keep you sane in relation to work, it's a great break from reality for sure and you can wear out your stress easily. Just thought you might have worked for that group, they bought up every appt buliding here, and own quite a few in Edmonton< just about all in Edson and a couple other towns. We just deal with them so was curious...any big plans this weekend or taking it easy? Have a great day!
That would be a handful for sure! Wouldn't be the St. Regis group that you work for would it? They seem to own quite a few appt complexes in Alberta. Glad to hear your sticking with the training though, it'll get easier for ya.
Hey thanks! Doing better for next year is the plan, always have to do better! So what's your new job? Still able to work out or is that fallen by the wayside because of work too? Fall is definitely here, in a big way, crazy temp change in less than a week. Oh well, were tough, nothin new...
Yep sure am but on my way to a huge comeback! Yea figure will be cool you'll do well and I didn't know they had to do a dance routine for fitness. So you training and eating specifically for figure now then? Hope all iz cool. Take care and Jah bless
