North Plainfield H Attended 1998 to 2002 North Plainfield, New Jersey United States
When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
I needed to make a change. I was gaining weight and hurting myself. I began by finding the right workout that fits me. It took awhile, but I never gave up.
Why I Love It:
When you workout you feel so good about yourself. You feel powerful ... like if you can challenge almost anything. Thats a great feeling. Everyone shoould feel good all the time.
How I Stay Motivated:
Remembering the physical pain, health issues, and the thought of how much I hated how I look and feel about yourself. Those feelings remind me that I need to keep it going with my workout.
I would be slimmer than I am now, but because of my busy schedule, it was hard for me to find the time to work out. I maintain my weight by watching what I eat. I'm 125lbs. I have 10lb to lose while in the need to firm up. Not giving up.
At the age of 13, I was struck by a car. I've had back problems since. Through out my highschool years I watched what I ate and I workout all the time. When I began my college years, I had no time to workout. I ate what ever was on the road. I went from 105lb to 155lb in three months. I tried to workout or cut eating out. But it wasnt enough for me to lose weight. I started working full time and going to school full time. Finding time to workout in between was challening. I was tired of being tired. So I began by going to the park for a run, I road my bike, went for a swim, and I dieted. I lost only 10lb. It wasnt enough and I felt I needed something more. I saw an infermertial on TV on Beachbody.com. This year, Jan 2009, I began my new workouts: P90X and INSANITY. It was really hard at first, but I stuck with it. I started by changing the way I ate. Cutting down my bad habbits slowly so that my body wont crash. I searched online for tips on food and health references. I ordered a few magazines for insperation and opened this website. I worked out everyday of the week. Early in the morning before I begin my busy day. I'm 125lbs now. I'd like to lose another 10lb and firm up alittle more. While achieving my career goal, I'm also achieving my health goals.
REMEMBER ALL ITS YOU VS YOU. WHAT EVER YOUR GOAL IS, NEVER GIVE UP. JUST DO IT!
Due to my new schedule with school, I have to change my routine. Early morning I wake up at 6:00 am. I eat a fast meal high protien low carb breakfast. I start my workout by 6:30am and by 7:30 I'm done. I then head to school between 9:00 am - 3:00pm and in the afternoon go to work from 4:00pm...
Hey, what is your workout routine for your lower body ??? Your shape is like mine, and i'm concentrating on my lower body the most. You look really good so far
Thanks for the comment and the support. I feel so good now and even better since my husband is 100% behind me on this journey. Happy Thanksgiving and god bless.
Hay girl whats up??? It has been awhile but things are going ok. I have been working out on my own but i need to get back into the gym, I miss it. My husband has even offered to walk in the evenings with me. Write me back love to here what happening with you.
The weight is comming off consistintly. I have not got the P90X yet, we had some moving issues come up so i had to put the order off. I have been exercising at the park so that has been productive for me. So glad to here from you.
It's funny you mentioned all that cause I was just saying how for now I am going to stick with the different cardio dvds, kenpo, cardio x, yoga, and in a couple weeks plyo, just cause my lungs are stopping me from really pushing myself.I dont think my knees and hips are liking all this extra pressure/weight, especially on leg day. the same morning you wrote the comment, I sawthe infomercial on insanity, which I will def think about getting one of these days. It looks really hardcore. ;)
You its funny that you said that because I just told my husband starting next week I will start to add the cardio at night time just to keep me loose and ready for the next days workout. Plus, cardio is probably my weakest area. I get so winded easy that I feel like I picked smoking back up and Im smoking two packs a day, though I havnt touched them for over two years now. I hate that feeling. I think it will help me not get my as kicked so much by the plyo dvd either.
I read alot of articles on bb.com and created my own plan based on my goal. In short, I had to start keeping a journal to hold me accountable, increased my protein, lower my carbs, and eat clean foods--and do that consistently. Seriously, EVERYTHING you need is on this site.
