How I Started:
first, let me say that im not hereh to chat or what not, im just hereh for work out tips and what not. i just started working out and i have not yet joined a gym. but soon, i will. i just do simple exercises and stuff. i dont lift weights(although i want too). ok. why i started. thereh is one event that lead me to start exercising. last year, i was taking a mandatory exercise test that is required by all HS students to take. that afternoon, i could not even run 10 of the 50 laps required. i could do the other exercises though. i suffered a heat stroke. now let me tell ya'll that i wasnt fat, just weak. so a few months ago, i went to the hospital for a heart checkup due to that last incident. the doctor checked my heart and said that he had found a tumor inside the Right Atrium. he had thought he found cancer. so he ran some tests. it took 3 days to get the results. during those 3 days, you could not understand the dread i felt. the doctor had called me two days before my birthday, telling me that it wasnt cancer, rather, it was a small lump of fat. so with that, i thought to myself, "im so out of weight", when in fact i wasnt. so i started working out and doing exercises with my 2 friends. every other day, we go to the closest middle school, WHITTIER MIDDLE SCHOOL, and we run/walk the track.
Why I Love It:
i think that exercising is awesome! i go out with my friends and do cardiovascular exercises. we dont make it seen like its exercise. sometimes we go to the zoo and power walk or sometimes we fly a kite. but mostly, we walk and just talk, knowing that it cardiovascular exercises. and at home, i spend a good hour, hour and a half doing simple exercises. it makes me feel good knowing that im doing something good for myself. and it helps me sleep better at night.
How I Stay Motivated:
i stay motivated by thinking of that horrible "cancer" i was thought to have. now, its gone but that event has made me think of my health. i think of that every time i feel lazy and it gets me up and on the track. BTW: im in the marching band so that helps a lot too.
BB Accomplishments:
ok. sine i started going out and working out, ive been able to increase muscle mass in my legs. i can now last about a good two hours on a treadmill without feeling exhausted when a few months ago, i couldnt even last 3 minutes. i can feel better about myself knowing that my "cancer" is now gone. now, im going to work on my upper torso.
