How I Started:
I was a skinny kid growing up with severe asthma who was quiet and shy.As a freshman I decided it was time to at least break the skinny mold. After a year or so of working out I realized I was starting to come out of my shell.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it energizes my day and how positive it makes me feel about life. The more my body improves the more the quality of my life improves.
How I Stay Motivated:
My wife and kids,this site,faith,friends.I have to say my wife (married 15 years) has had the biggest influence on me. I have watched her battle back from Guillain Barre Syndrome which almost took her life in 2008. She spent months in the hospital and home therapy trying to walk,eat, and talk again. She still has some paralsys in her face which will not allow her to smile or blink her eyes.She has shown great determination and courage which has been very inspiring.

Laura has come a long ways since getting Guillain-Barre syndrome. Since spending several months in the hospital and rehab learning to walk, eat ,and talk again she has has been on a mission to improve her quality of life. She has shown so much heart and determination in the process!
