How I Started:
Since I was a kid I had admired the bodies in the muscle magazines, but never had the encouragement or support needed to pursue it. At the age of 33, I woke up and decided...it is time to stop being ashamed and follow my dream.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because of my desire to change my body. There is no other activity I enjoy more than the work out. It relieves stress and gives me a sense of accomplishment.
How I Stay Motivated:
The constant change....whether it is the changing shape of my body, lifting more weight, going longer for cardio there is always something new and exciting.
BB Accomplishments:
I have ATTENDED 2 local bodybuilding competitions...lookin forward to one day being a competitor!
At 5'9" and 180 as of 01/01/2009...goal is to be solid, cut 200 by year end.
Goal (Long):
I have been actively working out since January 2004 and in that time frame have gained 20 lbs...not all muscle. I am 39 (40 in June 2009) and would like to continuously gain muscle in size and shape. Solid 200, cut would be the minimum goal. Ultimately would like to acheive a body that will place in local competitions.
My waist is my trouble area. Never had a set of ripped abs in my life. That alone would be a dream come true. But in trying to gain the weight, have elimiated cardio from the work out with the intentions that once the muscle is established, will be able to cut for a couple of months and get there.
