How I Started:
Physical Therapy for C5 vertabra, led to years of light weights for range of motion. I was getting bored, and it was only maintaining the point above pain, so I decided to build bigger. Lost a shirt size recently due to neck size, my cousin was the beneficiary.
Why I Love It:
Look at me now! I am getting bigger, my posture is better, I feel better and more energized, and the lifting relieves the stress and takes my mind off of other things.
How I Stay Motivated:
Recently my littlest one asked me if was going to get sick and die too. I told her, "look at this great body, I am not going anywhere. I will be with you until you are all grown up."
It is my nature to be intense. I usually jump into things with two feet. Sometimes, people think I am nuts, but I am just gung ho, and stay committed, even when I pick up my next hobby.
BB Accomplishments:
Still run the 100 yard dash in the same time I did when I was 15 years old. (12-13 seconds).
Hit 169 lbs 21 years after graduating from high school at 109. My mom was offering $10 per lb. I have yet to see my $500. Made it to 184 with the hospital food when I lived there for 2 weeks with my wife. Lost 15 lbs after she passed.

Goal (Long):
Perfect six pack.
Larger arms (16"), chest (40"),
Bench 240, squat 360, deaad lift 390 by September 7, 08.
DB Bicep curl 50 lbs for 10 reps with right by Dec. 31, 08.
Flexibility: bring leg up vertical while standing by Dec.1 2008: shoulder hieght side kick by October 1 :
Long Term goal of 185 lbs. at 6% body fat.
Oh yeah, and don't forget that look good naked goal - very important.
GA went into the world of competition with no trainer and as a vegan. I watched a great transformation from a woman who had to learn everything on the fly. Plus I like the story about the delivery man who got a show...
Abs: 3 to 4 days per week until mid may, then 3 days until mid june, then decide.
