When I Started: Nov, 2006
How I Started: Physical Therapy for C5 vertabra, led to years of light weights for range of motion. I was getting bored, and it was only maintaining the point above pain, so I decided to build bigger. Lost a shirt size recently due to neck size, my cousin was the beneficiary.
Why I Love It: Look at me now! I am getting bigger, my posture is better, I feel better and more energized, and the lifting relieves the stress and takes my mind off of other things.
How I Stay Motivated: It is my nature to be intense. I usually jump into things with two feet. Sometime, people think I am nuts, but I am just gung ho, and stay committed, even when I pick up my next hobby.
BB Accomplishments: Still run the 100 yard dash in the same time I did when I was 15 years old. (12-13 seconds).
Forum Signature: At my house, we listen to both kinds of music: Led and Zeppelin!
How do you build muscle like Bert Landry?

Everyone else is talking about Zionsist or Islamist conspiracies - so here is mine: It's a Franco-Germanic Conspiracy

Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
No benefits, I just drag her along to the gym so I can torture her. She's my wife, so she deserves it. lol

Rowing machine. The leg moving machines give me a .... problem... and it causes pain ... where I don't want pain .... not even workout pain ... let's just say I prefer to not flail my thigh around!

holy crap!  I learned a new way to create a burn.  it's awesome.  get to that later.

Squats : warm up 1x5 at 135, 1x5 at 225.  then 3x7 at 315.  315 is getting easy, my spotters look board.  I am working on form and getting that last centimeter to get the quads level.

then I dropped...

After taking a long, hard look at your progress I whole-heartedly agree that the swaying this past week-end was called for and that the blueberry strudel you ate was a good thing, especially considering it was a three day weekend. You are doing great and I enjoy watching your continuing progression and always look forward to checking out your workouts. You’ve gone and done it…now I want a blueberry strudel. Stay strong, focused and determined.

Yeah, working while prepping for a comp is keeping me off the internet. UGH! It's such a different space now. I think the next time I prep I'm going to cut my work load in half again.

Thanks for the comment, put your self on my friends list! Its good to get a response. I would like to be able to have machines to choose from, however I am training from home in my garage and back yard. I have invested in some good basic Olympic kit. I find this way better for me. Its good for motivation to get a response thank you.

Thanks for the encouragement man! I hit a new squat record today too (5x5s seem to do that!) @ 345 x 3. I feel like I've still got more in me too. Hopefully the deads don't fall too far behind. But let's not talk about the bench! Good luck on getting those lifting goals!

Hey that's not a bad squat. Besides 235 on a bar is a lot more solid than 235 is on me lol. It seems like your training has been going well man, hope it keeps going that way. Have a good week man.
