I was skinny and unsure of what was lying ahead of me in life when I graduated from High School. I had taken a strength training class for a couple of years, but had never put much effort into it. After I graduated I got a membership to the YMCA and started lifting weights. At first all I did was arms and shoulders, but I stuck with it and read every fitness magazine out there. Now I'm hooked. I just finished college and am now an NSCA-CPT. I train at All N 1 Fitness in Crestwood, MO. Our gym specializes in training MMA fighters and is owned my professional fighter and World Combat League Head Coach, Jesse Finney.
Why I Love It:
I love pushing my body to it's limits. I love pushing myself so hard that I almost pass out from exhaustion. I love pushing my heart rate past it's maximum. The way the cold steel feels in my hands as I press it over head or curl it up. Having 50lbs on the cable machine strapped to you while you are doing pullups or jump squats or sprints. It is one of the most amazing feelings in the world.
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with positive people. That is the key to staying motivated for anyone. If you surround yourself with negative people, they will bring you down; no doubt about it.
BB Accomplishments:
Every pound of muscle gained and every pound of fat lost.

I want to gain 15 pounds of muscle and drop 3% bf.
Goal (Long):
I have had a lot of trouble gaining muscle mass so I have started powerlifting. I hope to gain a lot of strength in the next month so that I can start gaining some mass. I have also started doing some CrossFit workout routines that are insanely hard and these workouts are supposed to increase my strength also.
While doing box jumps yesterday, I fell and broke my transverse processes on my L2 and L3. This is the worst thing to ever happen to me. I can't workout for about 3 to 4 weeks while it heals. I have no idea what I am going to do with myself over the next few weeks. I can't teach my...
Hey Tyler, nice hearing from you. Christy is doing well and lifting free weights regularly now and getting stronger every day. Rory and I are still hitting it hard but moved to a new gym for better free weights and equipment. Christy says hi and misses your killer bootcamp and only did one since. We need ya back!
Looking good TCapp, keep up the hard work in St.Louis. I will be keeping and eye out on your progress so don't forget to keep on your goals and not just helping others reach theres.
