A few years ago, I lifted with a friend, using the university gym. Then, this year I decided that just adjusting my diet was not sufficient to keep me healthy and began to lift again, using equipment purchased for use at home.
Why I Love It:
I always feel better when I feel strong and healthy. With weightlifting, the improvements in physique and ability to lift can be seen relatively quickly, especially when starting out.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just look at the picture of me I took when starting this seriously. I also use the exercise time as a time to listen to podcasts that I enjoy. By changing the workouts each month, I can treat it a bit like a hobby where I can try new and interesting exercises.
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing as far as competition goes, but I believe that I am living a little bit healthier.

This is where I was when beginning to lift seriously.
Finished 6-week workout plan. Preparing to start power-based workout. This one is more comical than impressive, but it is progress.
My immediate goal is to lose the extra fat, but ...
Goal (Long):
... my primary, overall, goal is to be healthier. This means that in addition to losing the extra fat, I need to get into the habit of exercising and eating right. On the exercising front, I have become attracted to the idea of getting more muscular. I'm using that interest to keep me exercising on a regular basis. Besides, as I understand it, becoming more muscular will aid in the fat loss, and speed up the appearance of being healthy.
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Branch Warren. Most look like their bodies were formed through careful, diligent training. Warren's looks like it was formed by punching through walls. :) It's a very tough, hard looking physique.

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
I would agree with most of the bodybuilding world and say that Dexter Jackson has pretty close to the ideally proportioned and balanced physique.
Big news for me, this week. I am up and moving across the county, to Nevada. I got a great promotion and will be moving to the mountains. I don't know for sure how this will effect my workouts. I'll try to keep the home gym set up in the new house, but I may wind up going to a gym for...

I'm going with this one to get back to basics, a bit, and to get my workouts a little shorter. I'm finding myself running out of time frequently, so I'm going shorter and more intense....

Sorry about the late response, I decided to skop the transformation challenge for now. How are things going with getting back on your routine? Keep me posted
It seems like you have to do one or the other. I have been trying to do both, add muscle and lose fat. It is exhausting. After my photo shoot, I am going to take things a little slower paced. Rest into a lifestyle, instead of a sprint.
Thanks for working with me on Saturday, my apologies for not being able to finish, that helm is just not going to work for me. I am going to work on getting a Norman Conical with a bar grill, then maybe I can finish up the Authorization and get back going again.
My apologies for wasting the marshal's time, I just could not get the air needed to maintain that. Thanks again.
