How I Started:
I've been a bit over weight ever since I can remember (I think I even hit about 180 in my mid teens...yikes!). A couple years back I really got into working out and came down to a weight that I was fairly happy with (about 140), it took me about 3 months (from 155). I was only able to maintain it for about 6 months, having never been aware of what a maintenence routine consisted of. Since that time I have slowly been packing on the pounds and before I knew it was back up to a horrible 168! When I started pushing 170, I knew something HAD to change. In October I upped my motivation and joined the gym again. And I only started REALLY watching what I ate about mid-november. So far I've lost 10 lbs. (Dec 07) and I am more than determined to continue this run all the way through. I want to have the body I've been dreaming of all my life!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of endurance and accomplishment it gives me. I feel healthy and alive when I am working out. I feel great that I am doing this for myself and I've found that I sleep better too :)
How I Stay Motivated:
I just keep thinking of this beautiful sexy body that I know I have inside me. 2008 IS going to be my year. I will wear a bikini on the beach this summer and I'm gonna feel fantastic. I already know the end result is waiting for me, I just have to complete the journey.

So who knew it would be harder for me to blog my progress than to actually do the workouts and eat right! haha...guess that's better than it being the other way around! So, you read it...3 weeks in to my 8 week goal! time really does fly. I feel that I have been doing really well, not showing...
Good to hear you goalz are long term! I cant wait to see your progress! Hit it hard tonight at the gym! It all pays off before you know it!.... You are already blessed with Natural beauty so as you get fit you may want to carry a billy club with you so you can beat down all the guys that will be stalking you with there tongues hanging out!...LOL ;)

Hawaii is a GREAT motivator. My wife and I went for the 1st time 3 years ago and I lost 30 pounds so I wouldn't get rolled back into the ocean by some do-gooder (you know . . . saving the whale from beaching). I've since re-found about 20 of those missing lbs. That's why I'm here now. :-)
