When I Started:
How I Started:
Joined a gym at 16 because it sounded fun. Got made fun of for being in a gym and being skinny. Have been working out ever since. Was a runner for 20 years. Switched to cycling in 2002. Lift year round. Moved from Los Angeles to Wyoming when I was 30. Gained a little bit of weight after moving, thinking I could eat whatever I wanted since I was a runner and never had a problem. After switching to cycling I decided to lose the weight to be faster on the bike. I lost more than planned because it came off so easily with a healthy diet and lots of cardio. Now I'm back to my old self and can't keep the weight on.
Why I Love It:
I'm addicted to lifting. I can't imagine NOT working out. I love feeling healthy. I love the high. I love knowing that I'm taking care of my body for the long term.
How I Stay Motivated:
The results keep me motivated. Knowing how I'll feel and look if I don't work out keeps me motivated. My competitive spirit keeps me motivated. This website and all of the wonderful people I've met and the amazing physiques keep me motivated!

This was before I started lifting heavier, 5' 8" and 110#. I had always lifted and not totally wimpy but decided to go heavier and see where it would take me.
I've known Sonya for a long time and she's always looked great but recently she has taken it to a whole new level. She stepped outside the box and just look at those muscles now! Her desire to be her best and inspire others is very inspiring to me. And those muscles inspire me too!
Michael is a really good dad and puts his daughter above everything else. With his very difficult schedule and fitting in as much time as he can to spend with her, this can make it tough to fit in his workouts, but he doesn't give up! He doesn't just skate by on his handsome good looks and his gorgeous blue eyes, he is dedicated to meeting his goals! ;) He always has a positive attitude and that is a great inspiration to me every day. Thank you Michael.
