HOW I STARTED:

Joined a gym at 16 because it sounded fun. Got made fun of for being in a gym and being skinny. Have been working out ever since. Was a runner for 20 years. Switched to cycling in 2002. Lift year round. Moved from Los Angeles to Wyoming when I was 30.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love everything about it. I can't imagine NOT working out. I love the high. I love feeling strong. I love knowing that I'm taking care of my body for the long term.

PurdueGrad23 OMG you had surgery? How are you holding up these days? I have been good! I get promoted to 1LT in a month! Can't wait! Pretty soon I will be a Captain! Soo can't wait for that haha. I am cutting back on the distance running and focusing on running more sprints and explosive moments to help out in gaining a little bit more mass :) Feb 22, 2012 4:15pm
