I want to get back to my lean "fighting weight" and return to close to my previous peak strength.
Goal (Long):
I want to get back to my lean "fighting weight". This will involve a physical transformation rather than strictly weight loss as I wish to also return to close to my previous peak strength. Main barrier is work/life balance and overcoming a tendonitis problem in my left shoulder.
Description: I wanted to see if I could break 6 patio bricks (2x8x16 - these are half size - full bricks are 16x16x2). Then I stacked the pieces for an axe kick through the seventh brick.
Hey All! been laying low for awhile. Work has been crazy for the last 6 weeks. ( I did get a promotion so it certainly paid off) I missed the Olympia here in Vegas but Gutavo Badell was doing a photo shoot at the Gold's where I work out. Pretty huge! It really is impressive to see...
This is my "get back in the game" routine. I really have to cram in the week into 3 1-hour sessions (includes warm ups and stretching). I have not listed a lot of cardio as the time slots do not allow for it. I get some aerobic effect on intense training days and other benefit while hiking...
Sounds like the semi plastic DOJO I got in the basement. Most of the weights (plastic/concreet and metel)I got at various yard sales and the bench My mom got me back when I was a softmore in Highschool! I also do lots of MA cardio and have a bunch of rocks that I workwith strongman oldschool style!
That patio brick brake was pretty impresive! Never done mutch braking myself other than some boards becaus I had to for tests( 1st dan and 2nd dan..strangly did not have to brake for 3rd dan for some reason?) But still impresive!! I would like to get down to your weight and maintain my strength so I'd say you rock. How mutch home trainging do you have to do? Rock on.
Thanks, the vacations were nice, actually I was in Las Vegas for a few days interesting place! I should have the video sometime next week. Originally my instructor made the video, but since I was gone for a while and now he is gone in vacation I should have it sometime by the end of next week. I'll put it up. How the training going? Have you heard of Chei Tai Chi? I am going to a class on Tuesday to see what this is all about, I know it is based on the oldest forms, sound interesting.
It was a hard test (blk rank), was very sore the next day from breaking, I should have a video up at some point of the break. Now, i am on vacation for week. Keep up the training
Hi, I had a busy schedule with both of my work, so I was not online. I like your new pictures, looks good. I saw your last blog, good training, keep it up. :)
Good call. I am very sore today. I need to take it slow. My Army workouts arre starting to come back to me and it is just too much fun in the gym when I get in the groove. I will take it slow though. You are right on.
look at you bro, looking great. and you totally get what my soccer experience was like, you described it perfectly, I was not sure if I was making sense to anyone.
Yes, I have been good driking my water the last couple days. I use your ice trick it seems to work pretty good, especially when I am at the gym. The other trick that I use during the day in my office, I put bottle right on my desk. Since, it's right on my face all day long, I can't forget. I know its not much for I am up to 3 liters.
Most of the time I will count my MMA as cardio, which help time wise. It also depend on what we do in training, sometime it will be session focus on self defense and patterns, on those days I will do cardio after that, but when we do sparring or kicking drills I really don't have to do cardio! How's your training going?
Thanks for adding to your list! It's really great you do martial arts, weight training really improve my fighting a lot. What style TKD do you do? I ITF style.
Arms are looking good supervic, I see now what you where talking about in regards to your weight. I can clearly see you are putting on muscle so that certainly has to be taken into account when looking at the scale, your midsection is looking more firm, I can tell you have been doing good ab work. I can see some of the upper ribs starting to poke through. I think the weight is about to start dropping. Just keep that nutrition going solid. Good job!
