I began working out when I started High School for sports. I never paid much attention to how I looked, but how I performed. I realized quickly that I had an apptitude for strength. Soon I was breaking school records on certain lifts; and weight training helped me excel in football and as a wrestler. College football ended abruptly when I injured my shoulder and required surgery. I worked hard to regain strength and became stronger than ever, but I put on quite a bit of fat with the muscle. Now I'm working on ridding myself of that fat.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it gives me a since of pride, accomplishment, and helps me to focus. I find that when I'm working out consistently I do better in all the other arenas of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation in the past was never a problem, but is starting to become one. I try to stay motivated by being involved in sites like this, setting goals, and giving myself a race or competition to strive for.

BFL helped me to a certain point. I did the program to the tee with one exception. I started playing soccer so I got extra cardio. To get to competition form (bodybuilding), I had to take it to another level. I think you have to look at it like tuning a radio. Play with the dials until you find what works...
