When I was 16 my boyfriend got me started, after we split up I stopped working out. Then I started again around the age of 30 but had no support or encouragement. I stopped again. I have joined a couple of gyms, but without the support I felt like my efforts were being ignored. Now I see that this is what I truely want, have always wanted and I don't concern my self with what others think ( I divorced the husband, that helps). Of course now it is harder because I gained weight and have been lazy. I will keep pushing forward for me.
Why I Love It:
I really never stopped loving BB'ing, it makes me feel good and I really like seeing the changes in my body. I think this is it, I will stick with this for the rest of my life. It makes me feel that good.
I also love the support of everyone here, what a great site this is. It is nice to be around like minded people.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have 4 wonderful children 3 grown and one at home and one grandson. I want them to see that being fit and eating right is a lifestyle that should be followed by everyone. I hope that seeing my changes will motivate them to change also.
I have always admired bodybuilders, male and female. The determination and perserverence to build strong lean muscles has always facinated me. I have had alot of obstacles in my way and now I am determined to be one of those people that I have always admired. I am hoping to lose at least 70lbs., with 10% bodyfat.
Today I turn 52, not a big deal, kinda like it actually. I have never felt my age so I think that has a lot to do with it !!!
I am down from my highest weight of 235(prior to becoming a member here) to 147 (88 lbs lost so far). I started working out with free weights in my family room in...
Hi and thanks! Everything is going great. Still loving the gym, just need to clean up the diet a bit. How are things going with you? Hitting the beach any this year?
Yup it is. Bordering on being downright hot! I usually keep the house in the mid-60's during the winter. This morning it's 75 in here and it feels too darned warm! Thank goodness for ceiling fans.
I'm STUFFED, that's how I am! Had to meet my li'l sis at Chili's. I'm just not used to eating like that anymore. Even though I only ate about half, I still feel kinda "bleh." :)
