I started working out to trim down after gaining weight in High School and the first couple years of college.
Why I Love It:
I believe personal growth is the most powerful journey one can embark on, and I'm always striving to improve myself--mind, body and spirit. There's no better way to know your full potential than when you, as a friend of mine says, "focus on staying close to your bones."
How I Stay Motivated:
Everyday I feel balanced and energized by working out and eating right. Every day is a step forward toward our own personal summits. It doesn't matter what path you're on, as long as you're working toward the top!
What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
I am focusing on high levels of quality protein, like from lean white meats, soy, whey, and eggs. To that, I focus on eating a large variety of fruits and vegetable. Variety here is key, and I try to eat what's in season so my intake is always changing. I minimize processed starch/grain intake (like white bread, and certainly cakes and stuff). Do you currently have a workout partner?
Yes

Thanks mate and trying to finish off 2009 on a high. The heat is great but the aircon has been struggling of late due to the ongoing 110+ temps and sleep is getting a bit of an issue haha. How's the training coming along?
Use to be really into mountain bike riding and looking to fire up again. Weights and boxing are the main priorties. Use to kayak and do rowing as well. Would love to get back into kayaking one day. Hiking in the US wilderness would be awesome fun..except the bears - do you see many of them round? When I use to ride, heaps of 'roos but they run away from people.
Great news and you got to be happy with 10lbs! I am back on full boost after a period of injury and have set a 11lbs clean bulk goal. 1st week in and totally amped. It must be getting hell cold in the US - we are finally coming into some hot weather in Aus :) Btw, do you mountain bike as well or focus solely on hiking?
