When I Started:
Jul, 2007
How I Started:
I went through a rough patch in my life, and I started getting more health concious with the help of my friend John who is a personal trainer. I just started wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, and got tired of being lazy. I decided to take control instead of being along for the ride...which when I make a decision it has to be 100%. Obviously fitness fell into my life-style change. I love the confidence it has given me, and how good I feel about myself. I also started wanting to get into a little modeling/stunt work. I just wanted to stop wishing, and started making my own dreams come true.
Why I Love It:
It makes me look and feel great physically and mentally, and it inspires others. It's cool when someone says they did something because you inspired them.
How I Stay Motivated:
By tracking my results and food intake, taking pictures. It's inspiring to see your improvements infront of you documented.
BB Accomplishments:
Becoming a certified fitness trainer through the ISSA.
I want to get as lean as possible and pack on a little muscle. I think I'd end up around my current weight but it would be from the muscle, not the squishy fat. I have about 10 more lbs of fat to shread. I want to be able to run for longer periods without almost passing out or throwing up lol. I'd like to shave 4 minutes off a mile run which I currently run in about 14 mins.
I get a lot of great ideas from here - I try to stick to somewhat of a routine but I like to mix up my workouts to keep them interesting. One day I may go boxing, the next I may go for a little trail run. Hey Martina; You are looking awesome! Again, thank you for your dedicated and courageous service for your country in the Coast Guard. Good luck with your PT career, modeling and stuntwork. Best wishes, Scott
Yeah I know!! LOL! I'm known for slimming down when it gets closer to PRT. I'm hitting the weights pretty hard right now. In about 2 months I'll stick to running and more cardio. So how have you been? How's that shoulder?
