Well legs were on the schedule today, but I really, really wanted to do chest instead. So I did. It was good.
But I'm sort of stuck on the bench, and today was no better, so next time I think I'm going to lower the weight and up the reps and work myself back up to the weight I'm banging...
MERRY CHRISTMAS, SG. Have a blessed & fun day tomorrow. BTW: PM me with your name sometime. I feel silly using SG. I can use your 1st initial if you're paranoid about people knowing just your 1st name. :-)
HAHAHA!!!! Well, you are not alone in that romantic thought. And yes, time constraints and something called life responsibility can put a damper on such notions. :) But, it is always there waiting for you. I try to make a little bit of time. Idealistically, I'd love to spend years in each place, absorbing and learning. Perhaps if I was born a Gates instead. lol. :)
wow, I'd be kicking and screaming also. When's the last time you went back to France?
I can understand the language space. lol. I would idealistically like to be able to speak fluently in several languages, for work and pleasure.
I am sure it can be done, just how well one would be able to do so is a completely different matter. lol.
France, Italy, and Greece I am holding off for my culinary tour...and yes, just like with Germany, I plan to learn as much of the language as I can. I really don't like going to someone's home and expecting them to speak English. I don't believe it's right.
oh? Where? :) France has my heart, it is the soul of all things culinary (at least to me it is). We lived right next to Canada, so, plenty of French speakers, and hence, I took French in school. ;)
Just got caught up on your blog. Sorry to hear about your setback, but happy to know that you're pushing onward. I've had my share of setback as well and I think it makes success that much sweeter. Hang in there!
I'm headed back to bulking here in the next week or two, so sub 10% is short lived. I'm hoping to put on 20lbs or so and do another cut in spring. It does feel good to be that low and it really wasn't that hard.
Have you been using the trap bar? If you use that, you don't need to bother with squats or deadlifts separately because, as you know, it does both. It's supposed to be easier on the back and apparently lots of guys with back problems use that only.
You are well proportioned. :D Not everyone can achieve that balance. However, I think you need to post more leg pics (homer simpson..mmm...leggs...aaahhh) ...*cough* so I can evaluate... *ducks for cover as your wife throws something thru my computer screen*.
Yesterday I did the upright rows with a 25 pound plate on each end of an EZ curl bar. I didn't count the weight of the bar. I do them with dumbbells sometimes too. They are one of my least favourite exercises, but I try not to ignore them completely.
