When I Started:
Dec, 2008
How I Started:
I started lifting back in my 20's. Stopped in my late 30's because I had a child (doctor's orders). Never went back to it because it was hard getting to the gym. Decided this year I would hit the weights once again.
Why I Love It:
Muscle is the most sought after feature both men and women strive for. It makes my body look smaller and I feel sexier when I have more muscle def.
How I Stay Motivated:
I thought I was motivated until I hit a major stress bump in the road. I allowed the stress to get the best of me. I turned to food as comfort and I stopped exercising. I know now that I must remain focused on ME, and problems will come and go. I need to learn to prioritize and put me first.
BB Accomplishments:
Work in progress.

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
It makes me stay focused on my progress. I also like getting feedback from them (how do I look, do I look different, etc.)

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Well, I've been pretty bad with this in the past, but learning from my mistakes, I would have to say that you MUST put yourself first. If you have an understanding family, they will support you 100%. Also, don't let anyone live rent free inside of your head. That will cause you much stress you don't need - and could throw you off course. Keep the focus.
