When I Started:
Jan, 1998
How I Started:
I got picked on when I was a teenager in school and I had very low self esteem. So low I could barely get a word out when talking to girls. I joined a gym, started lifting weights and quickly went from 160lbs to 190-200lbs. People's attitute towards me changed and my self esteem got better. After that, I was hooked.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding because it has helped shape me into the man I am today. Nothing brings your personality to the surface the way bodybuilding can.
How I Stay Motivated:
Through music, movies, reading articles on bodybuilding, watching bodybuilding videos and of course people here on bodyspace!
BB Accomplishments:
A few years ago when I was working on my arms at the gym a friend of mine enters. He was doing benchpresses and asked me to come over and see how much I could press. I had never really tried my best until that day. After amazing myself by pressing 264lbs he said I could do 275lbs. After adding the weights to the bar and I managed to bench it he looked at me and said "that was 286lbs" So yeah, I guess that's maby my best so far.
Why I like this video: The music and video is edited very nicely together to tell a story of one of the best bodybuilders ever. Truly, an uncrowned Mr. Olympia. Kevin's incredible strength and physic will always be an inspiration to me.
I took a few weeks time off from bodybuilding during the summer but now I'm back in the gym and hitting the weights once again. I've always felt that when I take a few weeks off I return more focused and determined then I was before. This is just the case now and I have a feeling it's going to be...
Nah not really. My sister competes though, has won 3 times Icelandic Galaxy Fitness. No she's not on Bodyspace hehe. I'm just trying to get in great shape.
