My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

My Workout Program

Still performing HIT training as prescribed by Mike Mentzer but with 1 small twist. I have now added in 1 additional compound movement for each bodypart to be performed in the old school 5x5 fashion. I bascially cycle through various of my favorite exercises while preparing for a show. I always perfrom one isolation exercise followed by one compound movement(this is occasionally perfromed as a super set) but latley I have been taking longer rest between exercises due to the increased stress on my body by using higher levels of resistance. Remember the stronger you get the greater stress is placed on your body and therefore you will require more rest. I believe it was Mike Mentzer who said "your ability to tolerate the exhaustive effects of stress such as exercise do not grow in direct proportion to your strength and mass gains and therefore your volume most not only be cautiosly regulated but rather hypercaustisoly regulated.

 

Offeseason exercise still consists of traiditonal DC training and crossfit for cardio sessions. I just like this no nosense training program. It fits my offseason training perfectly......no isolation movments just compound movements with varying splits and 1 exercise per bodypart sometimes 2x's per week. If you havnt tried it I would greatly suggest it.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to start off by thanking everyone for your support and words of encouragement. I accomplished my goal of turning pro before the age of 25. I have my sights set on making my pro debut within the next year or so and hopefully qualifying for the Yorton. Come follow me as I prepare for the biggest show in Natural Bodybuilding.
