When I Started:

How I Started:
I did work out regularly many years ago while in college, and even worked in an Olympic weight room...but only got motivated to start doing serious training again in September 2006. It's now a passion of mine again!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of trying to change my body into something much more powerful and capable than my natural state allowed for. I love working hard to change what nature gave you even when others believe it's not possible. I love the challenge of continuous improvement and of showing people that fitness goals are attainable if you work hard and commit yourself to them.
How I Stay Motivated:
Personal goals that change over time, events in the future that I'd like to look better for, body part measurements and comparisons with other people who also train hard and share my passion for fitness.
BB Accomplishments:
I gained 32 pounds in the first 12 months of my serious training regimen between Feb 2007 and Feb 2008. I have since refined the composition of my body to lower my body fat considerably but to retain and grow muscle mass.
I want go increase my size and strength through diet and exercise. I also want to improve my overall health.
Goal (Long):
I want to gain lean muscle and reduce body fat through a good workout and diet regimen. I'd love to get to 205 pounds with 12% bodyfat, which I feel is a realistic long-term goal for me. I want to do a much better job managing my intake of food, particularly to improve my long-term health.

Yes
No
What is it?
Hypertension
How does fitness help you with your condition? What do you have to do differently in your program since you have this condition?
My desire to gain body mass seems to do me no favors with regard to hypertension as my body prefers to be smaller and leaner. However, my regular cardiovascular training does make an improvement, leaving me in somewhat of a stalemate situation overall. My desire to gain body mass seems to do me no favors with regard to hypertension as my body prefers to be smaller and leaner. Well, despite not much of a change in overall size or weight, my strength has been on the climb lately and I've seen some significant progress on chest and shoulders. My chest has long been one of my relatively weakest body parts and a true laggard for real gains. I'd been slowly ramping...
