I had been lifting weights before I got pregnant in 2006 and always wanted to compete and intrested in doing so. But things happen got pregnant and gained 100lbs. After having my wonderful little boy in August and going through the whole post partum mess. I was ready to get my life back and be healthy for the blessing that God had given me. So I got back in the gym. There were two trainers there that motivated me and educated me Eric and Janet. So every other day they had the chance to kick my butt. I still have a long way to go but I am sure they will be there every step of the way.
Why I Love It:
I love the fact that I may be able to disipline my self and work hard. I like to see the hard work that I put in something the results that can come out of it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I try to set new short term goals. For every little step that I take I can look back and see the miles I have gone. Reading other people's accomplishments helps too. And of course Oxygen mag
I want to be healthy for my children. And be one hot momma.
Goal (Long):
After being pregnant and 220 pounds you know the diffrence in being happy and then thinking you are happy. I want my family to live a better life amd be confident in whatever they do and what better way to show them then living it my self
Well I hit the gym and hit it hard. Monday morning I did 45 min of cardio at lunch did shoulders, chest and back and the later that night went back and took an awesome class. I have to give Renee credit I like a good butt kicking every now and then. Now I am going to take her...
Well, it depends on how u look at it. By military standards, I failed to meet Army requirements. Score at least 60% in each event. In my eyes, I failed. If I don't score at least 60% in each event, I believe I failed. But, I did finish the run and that is what is keeping me motivated. I will get back up and pass it within the next couple of weeks or months.
Getting into great shape isn't rocket science it is just doing the basics. Good solid basic workouts and good solid basic nutrition. If it seems fancy it probably doesn't work.
Ha ha ha, sure if I can help I will. Right now my diet isn't very good (still rebounding from the contest). But I need to refocus on my diet as well. I like to eat 6-7 meals a day that are clean. Now I just have to do it.
They do but we pack it. So we give them a sandwich with whole wheat bread, fruit, cut up veggies, no sugar yogurt, light cheese, etc. All the other parents just send salty and sugar filled snacks for the kids to live on all day. Sad.
They are 3 and 6. They have learned waht food is healthy and waht is not and know that unhealtnhy food is for "cheat days". Thier teachers think it is wonderful how much they know about nutrition. It is a life skill.
That is awesome. My daughters love to come down stairs while I am working out and encourage me by joining in and do thier own workouts (stretching, skipping rope, jumping jacks, etc.) very cute.
