Ask Stecman for an update.
I started working out over two years ago. Late September 2007 I started training with crossfit exclusively.
Why I Love It:
1. Extremely Challenging. Something I can push myself towards and it'll always be difficult.
2. Stats. Running faster, lifting more, working harder, enduring longer, keeping a lower heart rate.
3. Being healthy.
4. Looking Great.
Before I found crossfit I was torn between running and having a great body. Now I've found a great balance of everything. (read goals section)
How I Stay Motivated:
Although analyzing my statistics seems to help, there's nothing quite like finishing a workout, just being blasted as the results slowly accumulate. Then next time being able to do it harder, better and faster.

Goal (Long):
My goal is to push my body as far as it will go. Starting crossfit towards the end of September 2007, I realized how much I lacked in physical capacity.
I want to be strong and be able to apply that strength to sports and common tasks.
I want to be able to endure difficult tasks longer, and complete it faster than both others and myself in the past.
I want to have a body that will learn to do difficult things quickly, without injury and minimal recovery.
Although running really fast is nice, and being able to squat a lot is great too - I now understand that if I specialize in lifting or running it really limits my overall fitness and physical ability.
I'm also changing the way I think of my body. My main focus will be to become strong and fit, not to drop my body fat to the point that I'll be popular on bodyspace. Don't get me wrong, I want to drop body fat - it's just no longer the goal.
Here are some side goals that would be nice:
1. 2:09 800 meter race (High school PR.)
2. Sub 18:00 5k
3. Achieve excellent times on the benchmark Crossfit workouts.
Hitting new PR's all the time. Almost every day is a new PR. Make sure to go to my website, eugenefitnesstraining.com and on the workout of the day it is a sort of journal of people me and people working out with me.
Over the past few weeks I've had very few days that weren't...
check out my blog on my triathlon, it went ok, lots of room for improvement, and the competition was fierce, (nationals qualifier, so lots of fast people!)
wassup dude, Moses Lake this weekend, wish me luck! You'll be one of the first to know how I did! Hows crossfit? I was amazingly sore riding that motorcycle home after that 20k! A lot of fun visiting you, tell Kristine I said thanks a lot!
Your gym looks great! I can't believe you have so much equipment in such a small space.. I can't think of anything you need that wasn't in there. Good work.. that's a serious investment.
Hey, I live in Eugene.. just thought I'd share with you that it's pretty great you free up your workout time with anyone who wants to workout with you. I like your willingness to share and your progress shows your dedication. Keep it up because I believe true trainers have the passion that you do now.
Dude! - Awesome progress..I have some questions and comments. First, what type of equipment do you have in your garage for crossfitting? I'm planning on building something when i get back home. second, have you tried the zone diet? If not, I recommend it - you'll get results for sure.
Dude, Stecman, GREAT PROGRESS! Thanks for the add.
Serious, man. From your start, your progress is amazing. I am a CROSSFIT cult member. I hit a PR on deads today! Keep rockin'.--Grant
Jeremy, OK U are pushing your own limits, great job, but. what are those hands? Gloves! Gloves! take care man, check your Crossfit Journal, After this week I will be able to return to my own thing. Keep pumping heavy.
DuDE, results came in finally for my race, and they are amazing. Though for many this was a casual run.
I finished 170th our of 8900 people
147/3898 Males
30/619 age group! wheew! didn't feel that good because I started farther back, but the times were based on when you crossed the start line, to finish line!
My 5k went well, it was actually 3.49 miles, 5.6K run, and finished in 22:09 with a 6:21 pace. My internet time says like 23 something because there was like 8000 people in the race and had to wait for start to move! then even once they did more it was hard to run fast for awhile, too many people!
hey, got your message, but I'll call you another day. I did however, get a potential job prospect for Eugene. I might go talk with them when I come and visit.. And I can't come this weekend either because I'm entered in the St. Pattys day run on Sunday morning.
whats new? cool pic, drawing some blood I see!
Hey, I'm trying to plan a trip to Utah at the same time your gonna be down there, do you think I could stay with you guys?
