When I Started:
Jul, 2007
How I Started:
I lifted weights as part of my bicycle racing training back when I raced, so I knew my way around a gym and had been very fit in the past. The last few years I focused on school and work, and pretty much turned into a fatty. It sucks. There is no worse physique than the skinny-fat guy. So I guess that's how I got started.
Why I Love It:
Not sure I love it really. I love almost any kind of racing, so I'm accustomed to being fit. I love being fit and feeling strong.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look around for examples of lives I would want and lives I would not want.
BB Accomplishments:
uh, i recently watched a contest for the first time on youtube.
i wasn't watching my recovery times so much before, just mostly waiting for my heart rate to come down out of the rapid drop, then do another set. this was probably about (guessing) 1.5-2 minutes between sets. i got back from california and realized i just don't have time for 2 hour...
every day starts with some core work and light cardio to warm up. all sets have 30 seconds recovery between, except when i change exercises i take 1-2 mins to set up.
mon: 4 clean & jerk; then 12 back, 4 rr.delts, and 4 bi’s
tue: 4 bench press; then 8 more chest, 12 calves, 4...
I havent picked one but I think it will be in april sometime.... Maybe I will do a few 5 k's and a 10k on the way... but Im thinking of doing a Sprint to start then maybe work my way up to olympic or half iron depending how I feel about it.
Looking strong Aaron! Just wanted to take the time to say hi and to wish you the best of luck and much success in meeting all your fitness goals. Train Hard!
I am very lucky to have a swim coach who trains my daughters helping me out too. She won a gold medal (96 Olympics) in the 200 IM when she was 14. She is still a stud. Does Iron Man and all that $%&*#. Over the top!
