I started bodybuilding as soon as I finished my short run at professional baseball. Once I decided not to play anymore, I entered my first competition and have been competing ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love the way bodybuilding makes me feel like I am accomplishing something. It's exciting to see your body change for the better, to watch PRs go up, and see your condition improve with each competition.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation is never a problem for me. Even when there are times that I don't feel like working out, all I have to do is throw in Pumping Iron and I'm ready to go!
BB Accomplishments:
I was able to win "Mr. ISU" and "Mr. Wabash Valley" which were local competitions where I'm from. That's what started my bodybuilding career. Recently, I won the 2007 OCB Overall Mr. Natural Indiana, and the 2007 OCB Overall Midwest Stated to receive my IFPA pro card!

Why I like this video: Here is the way I perform Rack Chins. This was my second set and I was able to get 8 good reps.
Seated Calf Raises
Played: 114
Why I like this video: Here I'm doing some Seated Calf Raises. I'm really trying to work on the pauses at both the top and bottom to take as much of the achilles tendon elasticity out of the movement as possible.
DB Military Press 100X9
Played: 193
Why I like this video: This was my second set of dumbbell military press. For the first set I was able to complete 10 reps. This set I fell just short.

hey tommy! great vids man! i notice that u and layne incorporate BW rows..what do u feel the benefits of doing them as opposed to free weight rows? and u look huge in ur updated pics from ur workout log!
Hmm..But if I go on a cut for too long, it will tend to bring down my metabolism which in terms will stall my progress or cause me to hit a plateau faster? In my situation, I'm actually trying hard to get my abs to bulge out. Been trying to reduce my BF, but it seems that I still need to go hard on my abs work out in order to increase the pecs size? P/S Thanks for the fast replY!! ;)
Hi tommy. Do u think we should restrict the duration of a cut to modulate or regulate our metabolism? Like we shouldnt go over 3 months or so for a cut? We should eat back to normal after a certain period of cut to increase our metabolism back to normal? whats your take on that? And for Abs wise, do we really need to train them like any other muscle group (decline weighted sit ups) in order to make them bulge out or pop out at ya?
